Dave and Patti Kepler to Chair Fundraiser

Network of Mid-Michigan is hosting its sixth annual Piano Palooza fundraiser on
February 4, 2012 at the Midland Country Club. The event is an amazing night of
dinner, dancing and dueling pianos! Proceeds from the event fund programs
assisting youth with disabilities transition into adulthood. These programs
helps youth with disabilities reach their dreams of living and working
independently.

Grivetti Named CEO of Disability Network Michigan

Grivetti, currently the Executive Director of Disability Network of
Mid-Michigan, has recently been named the Chief Executive Officer of the
state-wide association representing all Michigan Disability Networks and
Michigan Centers for Independent Living (CILs). Grivetti will begin her new
role on November 28, 2011.

Disability Network and Great Lakes Business Leadership Network Host Regional Disability Mentoring Day

10/25/11 - Disability Network of Mid-Michigan partnered with the Great Lakes Business
Leadership Network to host the 10th annual Disability Mentoring Day.
Expanded to a regional event two years ago, Disability Mentoring Day matches
students with disabilities with workplace mentors in order to explore career
interests and opportunities. Approximately 70 students
from Bay, Clare, Midland and Saginaw counties took part in job-shadowing at
various businesses around mid-Michigan. Participating businesses included Dow
Chemical, Dow Corning, Hemlock Semiconductor, Bay Regional Medical Center, MidMichigan
Medical Center, Covenant Healthcare and the Great Lakes Loons.
