DESCRIPTION:STAGES begins June 16th with activities through August 14th. \nS.T.A.G.E.S. : Students in Transition Achieving their Goals Empowered and Self-Determined \nParticipants will have the opportunity to engage in community-based activities during summer break. \nActivities include:\n• Employment activities – tour small businesses in the mid-Michigan area\, participate in mock interviews and career exploration\, and learn more about getting a job!\n• Enjoy local accessible recreation options. Enjoy activities like walking at local parks\, exploring accessible trails\, and trying out kayaking.\n• Learn more about your community; visit and explore different community resources.\n• Build your skills! Participate in varied skill-building activities\, including learning how to shop for healthy ingredients and prepare meals.\n• Make friends! SUMMARY:Midland Mall Walk
DESCRIPTION:We will meet at Cultivate Coffee Shop to gather and socialize at 4pm. Once everyone is ready we will head out to walk around the mall for some light exercise! For those that want to get a snack or have dinner will meet at the food court between 5-5:15 to get drinks and/or food. Others may choose to continue walking\, talking &/or window shopping! \nPeers\, this is meant to be a time of light exercise\, socialization & independence. Hangout with your friends\, bring a staff or friend to help you out! Mike & I will be around the first couple months and then as often as we can be there! 😊 We hope to see this become a peer led program\, where we are only dropping in to visit and hang out\, as needed! \nSEE YOU THERE!
